Featuring a 440cc titanium head and a flat-white finish, the R11 driver from TaylorMade is the ultimate in driver optimization. With many of the same features of the popular R9 driver, such as Movable Weight Technology (MWT) and Flight Control Technology (FCT), the R11 incorporates an Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) which allows the club to sit precisely the way the player desires. The MWT creates the options of draw-biased or neutral weighting, and the FCT allows for the adjustability of the face angle, lie angle, and the effective loft through simple shaft and head adjustments with up to eight different positions available.
When you change the club head's loft of the TaylorMade R11 Driver using FCT, you're also forced to change the face angle – increase loft and the face angle closes; decrease loft and the face angle opens. Adjustable Sole Plate solves that problem by allowing you to adjust the face angle independently of the loft, which is controlled by FCT.
The FCT system is extremely sleek and streamlined, resulting in less mass and a lower club head CG location compared to hosel adjustability systems in competitive drivers.
The TaylorMade R11 Driver includes two weight cartridges weighing 10-grams and 1-gram. To create a neutral bias, install the heavy (10-gram) weight in the toe, for a draw bias, put the heavy weight in the heel. If a more neutral setting is desired, 4 and 6-gram weights are available separately.
